Damn.

Oh well, I voted for you anyway.
:)

PS: I picked something up at the flea market just for you...you'll either hate it or LOVE it.

Thank you for voting! :D

And you did? My gosh, you didn't have to do that! I'm intrigued! Most of the time when someone thinks that I might hate something, that probably means that in my book, it's great!

I decided to wait about sending your package to see if fate would let you win this prize package. Now that the cards have been dealt, I'll send it on now! :)

I'm a little relieved, if I had won an apron that would probably mean I'd have to cook something.

An: Now honey! Not really...aprons are for looking cute. Kitchens are for cooking something! I sometimes just wear aprons around town.

Barbara: Cindy Brady talking doll...but the one with the lisp?

Barbara said...

Dang - they made one of those?
And...no.

Anon: Men like aprons if you wear them whilst naked. Then they don't care if you cook.

Congrats, Phoebe!

Eartha...I'm pretty sure I have that bowl myself. Are they bowl soul mates!?

(PS: I sent out an email yesterday begging everyone to vote. My pets and I are on Twitter asking people to vote. YOU SHALL BE VICTORIOUS!)

Oh, my ears and whiskers! I still cannot BELIEVE I won, thankyou thankyou thankyou! The box arrived yesterday-- it was stcuck in my door when I came home fromw ork and when I saw it I jumped up the steps with glee!

I crammed chocolate chip cookies in my mouth while I unwrapped everything on the bed and looked at all the wonderful, kitschy delights...which made it hard to go "AHHH" and "OHHH" and "WOW"! So now I have to wash the sheets since I sprayed a lot of cookie crumbs around, but oh well -- it's usually Ritz Crackers, so c.c. cookies--- handmade by Ms. Kitsch HERSELF!--- are a big improvement.

I really really love the Drive-In Restaurants book and the crocheted trivets and the teatowel (goes well with the 60+ other vintage tea towels I cherish and fondle regularly - and it still has the original label, oh my!) and the wide-eyed plaster apple will join its long-lost cousins on my kitchen wall soon and the vintage fabric ROCKS... and the green apron (my mom had a similar one back in 1957 - wasn't that a great year?) will also hang in te kitchen. And, I think maybe my favorite of all is the set of polka-dotted salt n pepper shakers: divine.

Whew! I am outta breath and must go unwrap another c.c. cookie to revive.

Now I will be on the lookout for you and Jack and Mr. Kitsch on TV winning that MILLION $$. BEST WISHES AND A MILLION THANKS !

Barbara: Good advice!

Jen: Thanks again for EVERYTHING! We in Kitschville love you! :)

Straight Talking Mama: Thanks so much for voting for us! You're the best! :D

Phoebe: Hee! You made my day with that note! I'm glad that you like everything. :) Now, do you need a glass of milk or am I too late? :)

I am eating the last couple now with my coffee at work!

Eartha: You must let me know what sorts of mid-century items you are seeking to complement your decor...Mrofthesea and I continue to yard sale and thrift shop regardless of not really 'needing' anything -- as if 'need' is really the issue! But we are always thrilled to be set on a quest...so let me know if you need a shell-encrusted jewelry box or a glow-in-the-dark Virgin Mary or a bullfighter portrait on black velvet....it's only a matter of time til one crosses my path.
