OMG this, right here is frikken hilarious! It totally reminds me of the episode of I Love Lucy where the Ricardo's and the Mertz's go to Paris and the boys convince Lucy & Ethel that their gift of high designer dresses (that are actually just burlap sacks) are made by a famous designer. They wear the sacks like they are high fashion, but eventually the boys can't contain them selves and spill the beans. Naturally the ladies are mortified and get rid of the sack dresses. Then the next day at a high end cafe, they see the real fashion designer himself with two models who are wearing...yup, you guessed it burlap sacks! Oh the humanity! These hats are dare I say MORE ridiculous than a burlap sack dress!
I'll just "nip it to the kitchen" and get right on that! lol What a gem!! I watched some of the others on youtube. I love them!!! At the end of the glasses video it says "Today women can wear glasses proudly thanks to the color and SUBTLY of modern design." This while showing a pair of glasses that Elton John would swoon for.
Oh, Madge Chard, you wacky dame! Debutantes! Is there anything they won't do for a lark? Off to put a jello mold on my head and peel potatoes in an evening gown.

i personally am drawn to the simple elegance of the funnel hat.

Speaking as a professional milliner, Madge's hats look pretty sloppily put together... I think she may have gone a bit loopy in her old age.
I am however a fan of the colander hat, it looks positively chic compared to the papier-maché effect saucepan or the Tin Man's castoff. Now to get my dog to stay still long enough to fit him with a sequinned chef's hat...
