Like Buttah

By the looks of the butter stock in the fridge, it's either holiday baking season here at the ranch or someone is on a suicide mission.

Either way, I'm being monitored.

What are you all up to?

My motto is: eat anything you want during the holidays, you can go back to sprouts and wheat germ in January! I just said on Flickr how we're a HUGE baking family during Xmastime,we almost have to bring in an extra mini fridge to hold it all ;) Now that my dad's back home we're back to enjoying the bloody hell out of it all. Now if the ice would just all melt so we can actually leave the house to go out to the goodness! We have a HUGE Xmas event here the first weekend in December in the historical Cowtown Fort Worth Stockyards,it is always just incredible. They go ALL. OUT. Sadly,we couldn't even step off our porch this weekend without fear of breaking bones so we missed it :( First time in 10 years

As soon as we can,we'll go down to the historical Grapevine Main Street, that place is like the Texas version of Disneylands Main Street at Xmas,I totally love it . Grapevine is known as "The Christmas Capitol Of Texas" and it really is

meanwhile,it's peppermint tea,and Xmas movies/specials by the fireplace. And trying not to die as I slide down the yard to check the mailbox

Actually...butter is a health food. No, really. So eat and enjoy and don't give it up after Christmas!

BTW, have you ever heard the old myth that putting butter on a kitten's paws means that if it should get lost, it'll always come back to you?

Hang in there kiddo! Please read Dr. Mercola's view on the subject of butter. At least you eat butter and not the man made poison called margarine.

Butter has been on sale lately, so my freezer also looks...suicidal. The baking shall begin here shortly!

Ha! My fridge looks the same, but I keep my butter at the back of my fridge on the ledge. I feel no shame when it comes to butter-I agree with Jen, it is a health food!

I too, make tons of Christmas cookies for everyone this time of year. This year my mission is to make all the cookies a tad smaller than normal. That way I can feel like I am eating more. Plus tiny cookie cutters are so cute!

I love that the squirrel looks like he is a prison warden over the butter sticks. I'm sincerely trying to get healthy and cut back on what I eat (and/or make the stuff I shove in my pie hole a higher quality) but damned if everywhere I got isn't laiden with a casserole buffet. Ugh. I wave the white flag. Stretchy pants it is.

I've been hiding an extra pound or two of butter under the vegetables. No one seems to have noticed it either! Time to get serious about cookie time!

I am baking and cooking and about 40 other things at the same time!! With butter on sale I've been putting it up in the freezer too. So glad to see this post from you - I had begun to worry! :)

Haha, that's awesome. My cheat lately is vegan cream cheese on my sprouted bagels...a not-too-distant huge vegan sundae.. :D Nom

Good to know that there are still people standing behind Paula Deen :)

One of my cats has developed a serious butter addiction. He snuck into the kitchen and ate half a stick. We have to hide it and he is constantly roving around where it used to be.

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to photograph my butter bin.
