I've got a monster reorganization project going on today but wanted to stop by to bring you this video of sweet Loretta. And some of the most disturbing Muppet babies that I've ever seen.
I LOVE this song. Right up there with that "You're the Reason Our Kids are Ugly" duet for funny/wry Loretta songs. Also, those muppets look like demons! What the heck!
Holy bust darts! I thought school marm/prairie style had gone the way of the seventies, but I am sort of digging Loretta's blouse. The babies, however, all look like they've been dropped on their heads.
I do love me some Loretta Lynn...even more after seeing her interact with creepy (murderous?) singing dolls. I love that her style has not evolved at all since the 70s. I love her.

I remember seeing this as a kid and being a little freaked out by those muppet babies!
How in the world did she not laugh while she sang? Hilarious and cute, a lovely combination!
