Hustle and Bustle

This guy looks like I feel. I only have a few Christmas presents bought and no Christmas cards written or sent. No halls decked. No holiday baking or crafting done. Not to mention that Christmas tree standing in my living room with lights but no ornaments. Even the cats seem to know that it's inferior as they haven't even bothered to destroy it. Meow. Meh.

It's so funny how we have a full year to get ready for the holidays. I mean we know that they are coming but in the end, people like me are running around calculating shopping days and mailing deadlines at the last minute. I so want to be the girl with perfectly wrapped presents under the tree. The one who is bustling between neighbors' front doors, dressed like Christmas joy and delivering freshly baked cookies. But instead - Oh Mylanta...I'm going to be one of those people, standing at the post office in line for two hours while some stranger behind me breathes down my neck with a rasp that can only mean that I'll be moaning in bed with a flu within a week's time.

Tell me, readers....you're all done, aren't you? You're sitting back with hot cocoa and cookies with sprinkles and thinking, "Ahhhh.." Right?

Until next time,
x's and o's,
Eartha

Yah, I totally sympathize with you! I did finally deck my halls but as far as everything else goes, I am waaayyyy behind! I need to whip up some gifts pronto. I also need to to the card thing and the baking thing. Till then I'll be dreaming of hot cocoa and cookies and a reward. Christmas is a lot of work!

I have done almost nothing, then again that's usually what I do, so I can't really say I'm "behind"

*inhales coco and sugary treats*

Sorry.

I'm totally done.

I work in a shop though, so it all has to be done way before Christmas so I don't accidentally hurt anyone in 'Christmas Rush anger' due to spending too long around frantic and grumpy Christmas shoppers.

Just remember, it will soon be done, and you can collapse in a Christmas day food nap!

I've spent way too much time and Ebay auctioning decking my halls, considering that I shall soon have the annual hell of the M25/M4 motorway journey back to my parents in Wales. With two kids and a boot full of presents for every relation we have - from 87 year old Grandfather to civil partner of husband's step brother. Some of these have yet to be bought. The shiny things help my stress.

Lord have mercy, I feel SO behind this year! I can totally relate. Though I DID manage to mail off a few boxes at the PO - I knew if I let that get away from me I'd have to pay big $$$ for shipping. However, I was disappointed when I totally ran out of time to list stuff on e-bay. Don't stress over Christmas though, have fun too!

Almost done! All the important gifts are got (and well-thought out, tracked down, chosen, etc). And yet, I have a terrible feeling that I'm going to end up hitting the Kroger's for one of their 200-retailers-strong selection of gift cards for the rest of my list before the holiday is upon us. This last minute Xmas shopping hubbub is for the birds (and/or the stronger of nerves)!! Good luck with yours, though! :)

Since I'm moving, I've barely done any shopping and absolutely no decorating...which is making me feel a little depressed. I need to break out my little charlie brown tree (which was found abandoned in the snow back in 2002) and decorate it.

Ready for Christmas? I'm still second guessing my Halloween costume! Where does the time go? The snowman is cute, for someone else, as I have a phobia about wicker. Wicker. Wicked. See the similarity?
