I found this little dog's portrait at an antique store this past weekend for twenty cents. I love him! This photo is from 1983 so unfortunately, he's cowpokin' at that big ole ranch in the sky now. Bless his sweet little soul. You have no idea how much I want to get a dog lately and this little guy kind of took my emotions over the top. His little bandana. His little smile. I want to make tiny little sandwiches for him. And have him sit next to me on the couch as I yell at the contestants on Wheel of Fortune.
I've had pretty good luck in the past with crazy cute dog portraits in antique stores. Like these guys:
Until next time,
x's and o's,
So freakin' cute! Especially that last photo!
oh my gawd i would have died if i had found that last one. i collect old dog pictures. I found one today with the FATTEST beagle i have ever seen in it. do you ever go to the tennessee antique mall on wedgewood? they have those boston terriers behind that counter that i love!
that batman outfit is pretty amazing.
Wow, these people really loved those dogs! As for the costumes, I'm a big fan of the Batman!
Eeeeeee!!! That first poodle, SO adorable!!!!
First time here...you are a hoot! Now, I thought you were going to talk about the crocheted covers for liquor bottles that looked like poodles that women made during the early 60's. The bottle was the dog body and the neck was the head. Ever seen those, they are so old they are probably coming back in style. Too funny.
EEEK. That little greyhound needs to smoke a fattie. He's freaking out. I can't stop picturing the photographer.
hahaha. i love them all!
