Who's going to be checking out the new PBS show "Call the Midwife" tonight? I'm sure going to! It looks great and has received good reviews while on the BBC. Here is a little preview:
There is an interesting article from The Telegraph with more details about the plot and characters here.

I'll be watching for sure! I have read lots of great reviews, so I can't wait to see it. So glad it has come to PBS.
I've already got it set to record!
It's like every good show is on at the same times and then nothing. I love my DVR BUT it will only let me record 2 things at a time and like I said - everything worth watching on at the same time...
Oh you already know I have had my DVR set for days!
THe books are excellent. I can't wait to see the show.
Umm...I just got on the Downton Abbey bandwagon, so I'll probably tune in about, oh, 3 years from now. :-) It's pretty much Netflix or nothing around here.
What did you ladies think? I thought it was very intense but awesome!
Rita: Ha! We're just catching up on Downton Abbey too. I think you'll love both.
We've seen the first few episodes here in Australia already and I'm definitely enjoying it. I haven't read the books so I don't know how it compares to those but as a TV series it is quite good. We're already fans of Miranda Hart in our house and her character 'Chummy' appears in the second episode.
Just watched it...it was good, but I have to say I much prefer the "upstairs" world of Downton Abbey. I try not to think of afterbirth that often or intensely. One thing they got SO RIGHT was the inclusion of Doris Day!!!
This looks awesome, I'm going to check it out. Gotta love PBS!

What Lola Wants
So funny, but last week there were a large group of these young girls dressed up in vintage nursing type outfits and hats riding around on old bicycles advertising this show! At the time I had no idea what they were doing until I saw your post and realized they were advertising this show!
It's pretty big over here - we're all about the nostalgia at the moment!
I really enjoyed the show, I will be watching it again.
I loved it, but man did I cringe for that women with 25 (?) kids. Can you even imagine??
