Aw, it's kinda sad that Walter's locket wasn't loved by someone in the family. I'm glad you got it and will love it. That little four leaf clover necklace is adorable, and I love the garnet bracelet.
How romantic, I told my husband the other day, "You never buy me anything." Something like this would be so nice, I think I'm going to leave this up for him to see and get some ideas.
This post made me sigh a sweet sad sigh. My Grandad was named Walter, and a gold heart was exactly the type of thing he would have done for my Grandma and the love of his life, the fiery little redhead Verlene. Thanks for reminding me of both of them!
Super jealous of all those lovely estate finds. It always breaks my heart just a little to find discarded items that would seem to demand personal significance. Usually for me, it's old family photos. But that Walter locket is yours now to love, so that's okay!

Sometimes things like this make me feel a little sad, but sometimes not. I like to think that whoever Walter was and whoever he gave his love to are both gone now. And maybe they didn't have any kids who would treasure this, and so it's going to someone else who can. Maybe it's enough that Walter and his love had what they had when he gave her this heart. It's more than many get, I'm thinking.

Aww...Love, Walter is so sweet, and so sad at the same time. Nice finds!
Jealous of that clover necklace. Clover is our daughter's name so collecting clovers is kind of a must.

Dear Eartha, was I dreaming or did I get a message from someone who strikingly reminded me of you telling me to just let go of all my stuff?
